Useful Tips to Make Your TWS Pearl Harbor Profiles Even Better

This checklist was created by Jackie Menasco to assist our editors working on USS Arizona Mall Memorial names. Those working on names from scratch may also benefit from these tips.

Pearl Harbor Checklist


A. REQUEST PROFILE ACCESS & TRANSFER

Before you start to edit TWS profile pages, please email TWS Admin to request access and transfer of the profiles for the names you have been assigned. Please see the example email below:

Please transfer and/or unlock the following Navy profiles:

My profile number is ?????? (Marine). [You will need to enter your profile # and your branch.]

B. MEDALS & AWARDS

Please check that each Pearl Harbor profile has the following Medals displayed.

If any of the above medals are missing, please add them in this section.


C. UNOFFICIAL BADGES

On many profiles, you may find the unofficial badges displayed below. If any are displayed, please remove them.


D. COMBAT AND NON-COMBAT OPERATIONS

Please check that each Pearl Harbor profile has the following Combat Operations medal displayed. If it is missing, please add it.


E. ADDITIONAL INFO & COMMENTS

Many of the Pearl Harbor fallen profiles will have the graphics shown below in either the “Last Known Activity” or the “Comments/Citation” sections. If they appear, please delete them from the appropriate text boxes.


F. MILITARY ASSOCIATIONS AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS

For those killed on the USS Arizona, please check for and/or add the following associations –


G. PHOTOS

Service Photos – only photos of the fallen in uniform are to be displayed as the “Service Photo” in the upper left next to the name and marked as “Military.” If no photo in uniform is available, please leave the TWS default photo.


Latest Photos – all other photos can be added to the Albums section as “Latest Photo.” This includes photos of the fallen when not in uniform such as high school yearbook photos, memorial or grave marker photos, muster rolls, etc. These types of photos should be marked as “Non-military.”
